Our little Marley is already a month old and I thought I’d share my top 10 newborn favorites. When creating my registry with Babylist, I was really stumped on what to put on the list being a first-time mom. I actually was a little overwhelmed with it all. I was so afraid I didn’t get what I needed, or if I even needed all the products people suggested. After a month of being a Mom, I rounded some of my favorite baby must-haves for first-time moms.
11 Best Baby Products For Newborns
- Velcro Swaddles – In the hospital, the nurses wrap your newborn so well with the baby blanket they provide. However, those blankets are tricky and made swaddling difficult. Swaddle Me velcro swaddles have been a lifesaver for a quick swaddle that keeps your newborn snug.
- Newborn Lounger – My little one absolutely loves this lounger. The day we brought her home, she stayed in it for hours. Perfect for when your newborn is awake because it props their head up and cups their tiny body.
- Co-Sleeper – A co-sleeper is a newborn favorite I can’t live without! I couldn’t stop looking at my daughter when she was born and opted to get the co-sleeper to put in the bed with us for late nights. This co-sleeper is almost half the price of the coveted dock-a-tot and i’m glad I chose this one. You can even get a portable one like the swaddle me co sleeper to take on vacations or for nap time while hanging out in your living room.
- Baby Car Seat Mirror – I love this car seat mirror that’s actually a video camera with night-time vision. It’s so easy and simple to install in your car lighter. The rear facing infant camera is a wide-angle, so it’s perfect for more than one child in your backseat. Best baby must have is an understatement.
- Tummy Time Activity Mat – Perfect 2-in 1 development gym and tummy time for your infant up to 6 months. The contrast of colors are perfect for your infant’s developing eyesight. I love the velcro toys that can be removed as you please. It’s also a reversible mat to track your baby’s development and growth.
- Dr. Brown’s Bottles – I received a Dr. Brown bottle as a sample in the mail and instantly was drawn to them. They are perfect for reducing burping colic, and gas with it’s slow flow and fully vented bottles that’s similar to breastfeeding.
- Canopy Car Seat Cover – Keababies have so many great products and the canopy car seat cover is one of many newborn favorites that I couldn’t live without. Perfect for covering the carseat during outings. It also can be used as a nursing cover as well! Love the idea of multiple functions.
- Diaper Bag – Honestly, no explanation needed. A must have is a diaper bag. I love the affordable Eddie Bauer diaper bag. It has 7 pockets with 2 insulated sides and super comfortable with padded shoulder straps.
- Humidifier – I love humidifiers and have used one since the day we brought her home. The design and make of this humidifier is so modern and sleek it’s definitely a newborn favorite you can’t pass up.
- Baby Head & Neck Support Pillow – We started to notice some flat head areas and wanted to get her a pillow that supports her head and neck. You can use this pillow even in the car seat. It has a breathable material and keeps baby head aligned for maximum support. The 3D memory foam hollow center prevents flat head syndrome.
- Mom Devotional– This is really not a newborn product but a perfect must-have for all moms. A devotional for the new, second or third time mom is absolutely perfect for all Moms. This Midnight Mom devotional was gifted to me and I read it every night when I’m up in the midnight hour with my infant. I love that it has devotionals for moms in every season of their motherhood journey that are super relatable. These prayers strengthen and refresh any mom in all walks of life.
