My Third Trimester Of Pregnancy Update

July 6, 2020
third trimester of pregnancy

Whew! We’re in the final stretch of this remarkable pregnancy journey. Finally, I’m sharing my third trimester of pregnancy update. Looking back, it seemed it would never get here after going through my first trimester and second trimester. Now I’m in complete awe that we’ll be meeting our baby girl very soon. Let’s get into what my third trimester of pregnancy has been like.

The third trimester of pregnancy is considered as weeks 28-40. Which takes you from 7-9 months. This time is when I really started to feel insanely pregnant that most women talk about. Nonetheless, we’re super anxious about being parents soon. Let’s break down my third trimester:

Third Trimester of Pregnancy Weeks 32 to 36

33 weeks pregnant

At 32 weeks of my third trimester of pregnancy, it’s crazy how HUGE I began to feel compared to the previous weeks and months. This is due to the baby jumping to weigh a full 4 pounds. Which then causes a lot of pressure on my back and ligaments. I found myself unable to stand for long periods of time because my lower back would start to ache. Furthermore, which caused slight swelling in my feet. I’m thankful that I work from home and I have the opportunity to elevate my feet all day long.

When I entered into week 32, the heartburn was consistent with most foods that I ate versus in the second trimester it was only triggered by certain foods. I think I popped a Tum like 4-5 times a day! On another note, I began drinking PinkStork Labor Prep Tea around week 34. This tea is caffeine-free, filled with organic herbs, and naturally sweetened with stevia. It also has Red Raspberry Leaf, which is known to strengthen uterine muscles and helps reduce labor time.

The Final Stretch

We’re weeks away from meeting our daughter and I’m honestly at a loss for words about what I’m feeling. From anxiousness, joy, unpreparedness and so much more. We’re definitely on pins and needles waiting for her arrival. The final stretch has definitely been a long time coming but at the end of it all, it went by so quickly. Nonetheless, we are so ready and so in love.
