This Basic rollout sugar cookie is easily one of my favorite Christmas cookies to make. Other rollout sugar cookies, require dough refrigeration for up to 1 hour but these do not! You can roll out the dough in less than minutes with your cute little cookie cutters. With only a few pantry ingredients, you’ll have yummy sugar cookies in no time!
Also, if you’ve seen our Christmas family traditions, you’ll know that a sugar cookie is a must-have for your holiday baking. This is one of my favorites to make because of all the cute shapes and yummy frosting. If you’re children are involved then get ready to get messy. Our daughter is still very young to help but i can’t wait to make these basic rollout sugar cookies with her.
Quick basic Rollout Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
⅔ cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2cup flour
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix it all together, roll it out and have fun making cut out cookies with all your favorite cookie cutters. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes. Be sure to eat one while it’s still warm.
